Fees / Fixed Costs

Legal fees can be high. If you have had dealings with lawyers in the past, you will know this from experience. Our firm understands this; and we strive to minimise our client's costs as much as possible without compromising quality.

We set ourselves apart from other firms by offering packages and fixed costs for various legal works; this way, you have the certainty of what your costs are going to be.

For example we can tailor a family law package depending on your circumstances that may incorporate the property settlement, children's orders, the divorce and new Wills at a fixed cost.

Private fee structures are agreed upon after a complete assessment of your particular situation and personalised needs.

We offer fixed costs in the following areas:

• Non-litigious Family Law
• Criminal Law
• Mediation

Sometimes fixed costs are not possible and fees will be billed on an hourly basis. For example, we are unable to offer fixed costs for most litigious matters given the difficulty of predicting how the matter will run and for how long. To deal with this, we keep you informed as to costs on a regular basis to ensure that bills are manageable and that you are constantly aware of your position.

In addition, depending on your particular matter, we may be able to advise whether the other party may be liable to pay for a portion of your legal costs.
